This recipe was given to me by a friend. I was in need of a dip recipe for my Super Bowl party and this is one of them! It was a great hit. I hate to admit that I didn’t try it. I know, I know! I’m terrible! But you KNOW how picky I am! Everyone said it was really good though, so here is the recipe! 🙂
Meat and Bean Dip
Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef
1 can refried beans (get one with jalapenos in it if you can find one)
1 8-oz. pack cream cheese
1 8-oz. sour cream
1 pack shredded cheese (I go for a Mexican blend. Cheddar is fine if no good blend)
1 jar of salsa – regular size. Don’t get s super large one
1 pack of taco seasoning
Directions:
Season the bead with half the taco mix, and brown beef in the pan.
Drain meat and then stir together the remaining taco mix and the can of refried beans.
Soften the cream cheese, and combine it with the sour cream.
In Large baking dish put in the meat and bean mixture. Smooth it out. Then on top of that, put the sour cream/cream cheese mixture. Smooth it out. Then layer that with the jar of salsa. Cover the salsa with the cheese. I use the entire jar of salsa, and then entire bag of cheese. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes, or until cheese is fully melted.
