Dookie wads, Cow Pie’s, Oatmeal cookies, Mud cookies, No-Bakes… whatever you refer to them as (I will just go with No Bake Oatmeal Cookies), here is an excellent recipe for them that I have been using for over 10 years. They are always a hit and something that is requested for many occasions. And yes, I have heard them referred to as all of the names above and I am always just like, Yes, I will make them. Ha. So here you go!

No-Bake Oatmeal Cookies

2 c. Sugar                                                       1/2 c. Peanut Butter

2 Tbsp. Cocoa                                              1 tsp. Vanilla

1/2 c. Milk                                                    2 c. Uncooked Oatmeal

1/2 stick Margarine

Combine sugar, cocoa, milk, and butter in large pot. Stir to blend. (*Tip: mix sugar and cocoa together before adding the milk and butter. It mixes better if you mix the dry ingredients before adding liquid) Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring often. Boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat.

Blend in peanut butter and vanilla. Stir in oatmeal. Drop onto wax paper.

Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
