This post is formally dedicated to my aunt Leigh Anne. She use to make these all the time and they were always SO good! I remember getting the recipe from her when I was about 14 years old and trying to make them. Well… they didn’t turn out quite like hers. I took them to my dads job site and a man asked me if they were chicken strips. So yeah, not a good turn out. But I made them last night (2 batches mind you, and I had just gotten the recipe from her that morning! Can you tell how much I was wanting them?) and they turned out GREAT! She told me to not use quite as much corn flakes that way they wouldn’t be so dry. So here is your step-by-step to making my aunt Leigh Anne’s wonderful peanut butter chews!

1 cup sugar

1 Tablespoon butter

1 cup Karo syrup

 1 cup peanut butter

5 cups corn flakes

Bring to boil sugar, butter and Karo syrup.

Stir in peanut butter.

Stir in corn flakes and drop on plastic wrap before it cools.

The Finished Product!
