Henry’s first trip to Tweetsie!

This year for Christmas we got season passes to Tweetsie! Here are some pics from Henry’s first trip!

The first thing he wanted to do was sit on the horses.

My Cute Kid

I figured you all had been missing my posts about Henry. Completely un-food related, I know, but what is a mother to do. Here are some new updates:

1. He now has ALL of his baby teeth. As excruciatingly painful I’m sure it was for him, I am about 100% certain it was the same amount of pain for me.
2. He knows how to jump. This took a while for him for some odd reason. But he’s got it down pat now. You go kid.
3. He has told me he loves me without my prompting. (Also see, Most Precious Moment in the Entire World)
4. He can count to 10 and say the blessing all by himself.
5. He is still only 23 lbs. The little booger won’t grow. Oh well, I’m sure he will have plenty of time for that in his later years.
6. He loves watching Disney movies. Over, and over and over and over and over and over again. I. Am. Not. Kidding. Favorites: Lion King, Cars, Polar Express.
7. He has had pink eye twice and ringworm. I am going to blame this on my mothers cat.
8. He is terrified of spiders, just like his momma.
9. He loves combines. It’s his favorite tractor ever since my dad took Henry with him when he got up soy beans.
10. He is the cutest, sweetest, kindest kid I have ever met and I am completely in love with him.

So there are a few “fun facts” for ya and one day I’m sure I will enjoy looking back at these and seeing some of the things that are going on with him at the age of almost 2!

Bible School

So this week was Henry’s first Bible school! He has been having SO much fun! Today is the last day, but I wanted to put some pics on here from the week. He acts like SUCH a big boy around all of the other kids! My baby is growing up on me!

Mother’s Day

For Mother’s Day this year, I made a two tiered pound cake. It was for a Mother’s Day Luncheon and I thought it turned out quite well! Hopefully just another step towards a cake decorating business! Here are some pics of the cake.

Dying Easter Eggs

This is the first year that Henry dyed Easter eggs. Obviously he didn’t last year since he was less than a month old… but anyways. This year we decided to team up with our neighbors, Melissa and Ben, who also have a little boy, Easton, who is just 3 months older than Henry. They are so cute together and I think they actually look a lot alike!

They did pretty good with it considering it was their first time AND they are only 1! Out of 24 eggs, I believe they ended up with 20.

Easter Ducks

So for Henry’s Easter present this year, I had the WONDERFUL idea of getting him 2 baby ducks. I called all over the place to find out where you could buy some. Finally, I found a Tractor Supply store that had some. We went on one night after I got off work and Henry fell asleep in the car… so he didn’t know about them until we got home. (he he) As soon as I opened that box up he just smiled the biggest smile! His eyes got HUGE! It was the greatest surprise ever! I got them out of the box and he would just stare at them. They kept walking over towards him. (I think they thought he was their mom?? Maybe because he was the smallest person there??) He would just lay on the floor and they would come over to him and he would just giggle! It was so cute. He wasn’t quite as gentle with them as I thought he would be, but he does love them. When he is playing in the living room floor, he has to go over to them and check on them in their box every 5 minutes. It was a great Easter gift, I have to say. And I am also very glad we got two of them. They seem like best buds. And Henry is right in the midst of them.
