Well I didn’t do a post last week… oops! But last week was officially my first Wilton Cake III: Gum Paste and Fondant Class. This is what I made from it:
(Obviously there is napkins rolled up and placed inside the bow, but you will see this later on a cake!)
Last night we made roses, carnations and calla lilies out of gum paste! I enjoyed that so much I just want to go home right now and make more!
Learning how to make all of this is so exciting for me. I have 3 cake orders coming up, so looks like you will be seeing more of what I have learned!

Those are GORGEOUS! They look so real – well done! Stopping by from YeahWrite.
These are impressive. Way to go. Good luck with your cake orders!
Omg, that carnation is perfection!!!!
I am always amazed by anything a cake maker can do because frankly I would never have the patience for it. Beautiful job.
Holy Fondant, Batman – are you going to be on Cake Boss or something because boy are you TALENTED. Seriously – are you a professional?? If not, you should be. Those roses – amazing. You should see some of my total cake disasters, then you would understand why I am in awe of your fondant roses.
Wow.
These are beautiful! I wish I could do that!
This is amazing!! Wow. I can’t do anything like this. I have to say I’m a little envious.:) Just gorgeous.
This is so beautiful! Now you make me wanna sign up for a baking class
which I had been thinking about for a months…
Incredible! I wish I had people to bake for, I’d love to have a go. My other half doesn’t eat cake, fortunately for me. Good luck with the orders, once the word gets around you’ll be inundated.
Wow! Impressive!
Those look great. I am always impressed by people who can create like that. I think I would get too impatient and eat my creation.
Those are so fragile and gorgeous looking! A friend of mine works with fondant…it’s tough! Well done.
Beautiful! Any auditions in your area for the Food Network? If so you are sure to get a spot! Your pride of workmanship is on display!
Wow, that’s just beautiful!!!
Oh wow! I have the flower cutter, but I can’t get from the first shape to the rose you made! Those are beautiful!
Stunning. You really are talented Megan!
Very beautiful flowers =)
Well, when I saw your post I thought “oh, she got better pictures” so it’s funny that you like mine better. I wish we didn’t have to move along so fast sometimes…..doesn’t she realize we’re trying to blog about our experience?!
